Oh my goodness! I have been DYING to shoot on the Oregon coast and this Cannon Beach wedding was more than I could have dreamed of! I gathered up some wedding vendors in the Portland area and we started planning! Despite it being a rainy January day, we still had a blast. This may have been the windiest day of my life photographing, but it was worth it! Leah and Jonny were amazing and willing to kick off their shoes and run into the ocean without question. So thankful for the people I met through this “job.”
We started our day off at the Airbnb in Portland with muffins, coffee, and hair and makeup! Once our models were ready, we made sure to get some images inside the Airbnb. We wanted to get some hair and makeup shots before heading to Haystack Rock, as we had no idea what the weather it was going to be. This ended up being a good decision…
The sun was starting to break through the clouds as we hit the road, so we were hopeful, the music was on, and road trip snacks were in abundance! Little did we know, the wind was blowing like crazy! Just wait until you see the sand in the photos! We could only walk facing away from the wind and Leah could hardly make it anywhere without Jonny’s help. She almost blew away! We were bellying laughing the whole time despite all of this!
Between breaks in the car to warm up, pulling Leah’s braids out of her hair and letting the wind have its way, and a heck of a lot of hand warmers, we got some amazing photos! The last photos are by far the best ones, so make sure to scroll all the way! I would shoot another Cannon Beach wedding any day!
Thank you so much to our amazing team, I couldn’t have done it without you!
